The concept for a seafood restaurant was a dream nurtured by the founders of Rico since 2005, when they first encountered the richness of Western cuisine in the beautiful and prosperous country of Switzerland. As students of Tourism and Hospitality Management, they had the opportunity to intern at a renowned hotel in Montreux, nestled beside Lake Geneva at the foot of the Alps. Serving fresh, chilled seafood platters during this time sparked their desire to one day elevate Vietnam's abundant seafood through the art of Western culinary techniques. After 14 years of careful planning and numerous trials, Rico Seafood & Grills officially made its debut on Hanoi's culinary map in 2019. The restaurant brought a refreshing breeze to the city's dining scene, combining the refined techniques of Western cuisine with the bountiful local seafood, offering a new and exciting experience for food enthusiasts.

Rico Seafood & Grills is located in the heart of Hanoi, nestled within a nearly century-old French colonial villa that has been a landmark on the city's map since the early 20th century. The founders of Rico fell in love with the villa at first sight, and as a result, they have preserved nearly all of its original architecture, maintaining its historic charm to this day. At Rico Seafood & Grills, you have the option to dine in the lush, green garden, enjoy the modern ambiance of the counter kitchen and bar, or experience the elegant dining space on the second floor. The restaurant also offers private rooms, ideal for hosting guests or organizing intimate, upscale gatherings.

Rico Seafood & Grills offers contemporary cuisine with a focus on signature dishes such as cold seafood platters, crudo, and Nikkei cuisine. The seafood is sourced daily, prepared fresh, and served raw, steamed, or grilled to retain its natural flavors. These dishes are complemented by sauces or side dishes made from abundant, flavorful local ingredients and seasonal specialties from around the world, such as truffles, Mexican chilies, and Swiss cheese like Tête de Moine. In addition to seafood, we also serve premium imported steaks and meats. Our grilled dishes are cooked using charcoal in the renowned Kamado Joe ceramic grill, which can reach temperatures up to 400°C, preserving the moisture of the ingredients while imparting a subtle smoky flavor from orange and applewood.
